Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader Raila Odinga is expected in the country Monday evening after concluding his 10 day foreign tour.

In a statement, Odinga’s spokesman Dennis Onyango denied claims that the opposition leader had cut short his tour of the US over a crisis in the National Super Alliance (NASA).

He said the period is within the time frame described in a statement on March 10 when Raila left the country and that claims he cut short his stay in the US to attend NASA crisis talks is a lie and a fabrication intended to create the impression that there is a monumental problem in NASA.

He said any talks between the NASA leaders would be routine consultations that should be expected ahead of the August polls.

Onyango said NASA takes the story on a section of the media as part of propaganda war allegedly being waged on the Opposition by using media outlets, whose purpose is to create panic among NASA supporters.

The allegations come after days of heightened speculation that Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka is planning to go it alone in the August polls, claims that Musyoka denies.

Elsewhere, activist Boniface Mwangi has Monday launched a new political party to use in the August polls in his bid to unseat Starehe Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda.

Mwangi says priorities for the new political party dubbed –‘Ukweli Party’ with a slogan Nguvu kwa Mwananchi  translated to ‘Power to the people’, are to pursue policy and practice positions on social services, the economy, security and public safety, governance and leadership, and ensuring active citizenship.

Meanwhile, Meru County women representative Florence Kajuju has denied allegations that she wants to defect from Jubilee party to join another political party as a vehicle to use during upcoming general elections.

Kajuju admits that she has many opponents who are eyeing her seat in the Jubilee party, but maintains she is in Jubilee party to stay.

Kajuju has been very vocal in “KIKALI” formation which means; Kiraitu, Kajuju and Lenturi, in which Kiraitu is eyeing for Meru gubernatorial, Kajuju eyeing to retain her women rep seat and Mithika Lenturi who is eying for Meru senate but of late she has not been seen participating in” KIKALI”.
