President Uhuru Kenyatta’s planned visit to Tharaka Nithi and Meru Counties has been cancelled.

A statement sent to newsrooms by statehouse spokesperson Manoah Esipisu said the two day visit had been cancelled due to unavoidable circumstances.

The president will later this week tour Trans Nzoia, Bungoma, Busia and Kakamega counties in Western Kenya.

He is expected to launch and inspect several projects initiated by the national government in the region.

Last week, the President and his deputy were in the larger Gusii region where they commissioned several projects and addressed rallies urging the locals to re-elect them on August 8th.
