The Democratic Party has endorsed the re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta in the August general election during its national delegates council.
The President who attended the meeting said the affiliate parties will be incorporated in his re-election campaigns.
Uhuru used the podium to hit out at the opposition for threatening to boycott the elections over IEBC appeal on the president result tallying saying elections will proceed as planned whether they take part or not.
He promised to partner with the Democratic Party as he seeks re-election for a second term saying Jubilee party will campaign together with friendly parties to mobilize support for his bid.
DP party leader Joseph Munyao says the party will field candidates in all positions in the country except the presidency where they will support Uhuru Kenyatta.
The party has now urged its members to campaign vigorously for Uhuru and called on the opposition to desist from inciting Kenyans by threatening independent institutions.
Uhuru was categorical that elections will go on as planned whether the National Super Alliance participates or not.
He called on leaders to campaign in peace and allow Kenyans an opportunity to choose their leaders without intimidation.
