LG paves way for green air conditioning solutions

In response to the growing demand for eco-friendly & energy efficient air conditioning solutions in East and Central Africa, LG Electronics East and Central Africa in association with Hotpoint Appliance Ltd, its local distributor, engaged with industry stakeholders to discuss the impact and opportunity for sustainable solutions.

The seminar served as a platform for over 100 attendees, including leading consultants, property developers, architects and interior designers to envision the future of Kenya with environment-friendly technology.

At the event, LG showcased the prowess of its inverter technology platform with green refrigerants, which is designed to facilitate continuous optimum cooling in East and Central Africa, and thereby contributing toward a greener environment.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Jinan Choi, General Manager, SAC Product Division of LG Electronics Africa Logistics FZE said, “The East and Central Africa region has established a strong understanding of the importance of using and developing environment friendly products. This has led to an influx in demand for LG’s Multi V refrigerant flow (VRF) product solutions that are energy efficient and eco-friendly. LG’s air conditioners are designed with high style and innovative technology to be the perfect solution for hot summer months. LG’s flagship Multi V VRF system has gained a top-of-mind position among key stakeholders like developers, consultants and contractors because of its stand out features such as HiPORTM, Active Refrigerant Control, Auto Dust removal, Smartphone monitoring, and impressively high Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) values of up to 4.34.

LG has also currently launched a Single Inverter line-up, which is 25% more energy efficient and capable of 30% quicker cooling than conventional air conditioning products.

With the rapid technological developments within the HVAC industry, the latest solutions are embedded with features making them highly energy efficient and eco-friendly, in line with government and consumer demands. Green technology embedded products are gaining fast traction in response to the increased regulations for energy efficient products locally and globally.
