Fallen KDF soldiers from Kulbiyow attack buried

Six of the fallen KDF soldiers who were killed by Al-shabaab at their Kulbiyow base in southern Somalia were buried Sunday in Isiolo,Tana River and Marsabit  Counties amid calls for the withdrawal of KDF soldiers from Somalia.

The four were buried in accordance to the Islamic rites.

The bodies of five KDF soldiers killed by al Shabaab terrorists in Somalia on Friday, arrived in Isiolo airport on Sunday. Those buried at Muslim cemetery located at Tullu Roba Estate in Isiolo were Private Ido Kuno Ido,corporal Abdalla Aziz, Mohammed Konchora. And as fate would be, 12 officers were seriously injured in a grisly accident as they escorted the body of Mohammed Konchora   for his burial at Korbesa cemetery

Three bodies of the slain soldiers were received by colleagues, political leaders and relatives at the airport.Two others were airlifted to Marsabit.

Another body of 46 year old Sergeant Kassim Roba was flown from Nairobi aboard a Kenya Air force plane to the Garissa military airstrip and then taken to the neighboring Tana River County for burial

Words could not express the pain of the family of Sergeant Roba.The family of late Sergeant who has been in the defense forces for close to 27 years are now in agony over the upkeep of 5 children and 7 siblings he has left behind. Sergeant Roba was buried in Madogo, Tana River in accordance with the Islamic rites.

In Isiolo town, residents joined leaders and relatives of the fallen soldiers where they grieved and called on the Government to recall Kenyan troops from Somalia.
