Samantha Bee to introduce Clinton at Women in the World Summit

Women in the World has announced Samantha Bee, host and executive producer of “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee,” will join the Women in the World Summit to introduce Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Clinton will join the Summit for a conversation with New York Times columnist and author Nicholas Kristof. Tina Brown Live Media’s eighth annual Women in the World Summit, in association with The New York Times, will be held next month from Wednesday April 5th to Friday April 7th at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center in New York City.

This year’s participants include: award-winning actress and activist Tracee Ellis Ross; Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie; writer, producer, director, actor Lena Dunham; Tony Award-winning performer and writer Sarah Jones; President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Cecile Richards; actress Scarlett Johansson; national co-chair of the Women’s March on Washington, Linda Sarsour, national co-chair of the Women’s March on Washington, Tamika D. Professor, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Dr. Annie Sparrow; Ambassador Melanne Verveer; Founder and Co-Chairman of DVF Studio, Diane von Furstenberg; Oscar Award-winning filmmaker and CEO, SEC Films, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy; Director, International Refugee Assistance Project, Becca Heller; journalist Masha Gessen.

The Women in the World Summit brings together women on the front lines all over the world. These women include activists, artists, CEO’s, peacemakers, entrepreneurs, trailblazers, and firebrand dissidents from around the world who have saved or enriched lives and shattered glass ceilings in every sector.

The first Summit was launched in New York City in 2010 and has since expanded to London and New Delhi, with breakout salons across the United States in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Antonio, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.
