It will be a do or die encounter for the Kenya ladies basketball team when they face Somalia tonight at 8pm, in the ongoing Africa Zone Five Basketball Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

The seven time Africa Champions under head Coach David Maina, won their first round robin game against their arch rivals Uganda by 70 to 41 baskets and lost the second game to hosts Egypt last night, by 87 to 62 baskets.

Uganda became the first casualty to be eliminated from the event after losing their first two matches against hosts Egypt and Kenya respectively.

Meanwhile, the Kenya men’s team will tonight face Egypt after going down by 68 to 66 baskets to South Sudan last night; as they seek to qualify to the next round.

The team is yet to win a match after losing 75-60  to Rwanda in their opening match.

Two men and two ladies teams will qualify to represent Africa Zone five at the Africa Basketball championship slated for 19th through to 30th of August, in Brazzaville Congo.
